Greetings!
June is just FULL of good news, isn't it?
I come to you today with a sneak peek at my cover for my soon-to-be released novella "Monster". I don't know if you guys remember this or not, but I actually signed the contract and sold "Monster" long before I was lucky enough to get "The Requiem of Janus" accepted by Torquere Press. My publishing company for "Monster" has had a bit of restructuring in the meantime, so funny enough, Janus actually came out first. Weird, huh?
Anyway, I've been assigned a brand new cover artist and she got back to me yesterday with the new cover art and wow, I'm impressed. It has a very eerie look to it (matching the tone of the story) and even as a tag-line. Yay!
The good thing about "Monster" is that it's a book anyone can enjoy. It's being marketed as a book for young adults and probably the only warning in it would be all the violence. There's no sex, and there's barely a teen crush so it's not really romantic. It's all fantasy action.
You know what this means??? "Monster" is going to be released soon! Wahoo! I'll get back to you guys when I get a release date. Remember, "Monster" is an extended version of the short story that you can read for free at http://dracosdebauchery.tripod.com. Course, the link is also available through my original fiction master list here on LJ.
Anyway, on to the cover!

Isn't it purdy?
Ahem. I'll be back later with a fic review, not my work surprisingly, but someone else's. I started reading her work last night and now I'm absolutely hooked.
