Good morning everyone!

This is just a quick update to let you know that both In Darkness Dwells and The Requiem of Janus have reverted back to me so you can no longer purchase them through Amazon or Torquere Press.

I'm working now to try and get some new cover art and self-publish them, but time and money are against me so I don't know how soon I can get them back up. If you still want copies and don't care that it doesn't have a shiny cover, contact me and I can sell you one directly.

Thanks to everyone for your support on this publishing journey of mine. Here's hoping my new releases can be just as successful! :)

Good morning everyone~

Just an FYI, you've got 30 days to buy The Requiem of Janus before all rights revert back to me. I'm pleased and proud of how long the first run of my first novel lasted. Almost four years! So I'm hoping when I can finally manage to get back on track, I can keep this going.

So take this opportunity to get your copy today. :)

You can buy it directly from Torquere Press or from Amazon. And if you want more information about the book, here's the link to my discussion page and it's accompanying free reads: http://n-wilkinson.dreamwidth.org/29555.html

Thanks to everyone who has supported me over the years. I really appreciate it. Here's hoping the new novels will see just as much success.

Good evening my friends! I don't have any flash fiction yet but I do plan on working on them as soon as I can.

I did, however, find two reviews for my original works. I thought I'd share them with you.

One was for The Requiem of Janus, and is found on goodreads.com. They gave me 5 Stars!!!

The second was for Four Years On. It's on goodreads but it's also on their reviewing website, Brief Encounters. Unfortunately, my penname is spelled wrong. It accidentally got published/promoted as Wilkerson from the start so that's what all the official stuff tends to say. Oops. Tam gave me a C+ (3.5 stars)

Good afternoon everyone!

This is a fly-by post to let all fans of my original fiction know that I'm hosting the Torquere livejournal today. Stop on by to say hello and enter for a chance to win free stuff! I'll also be posting bits from my eventually upcoming fic Shady Hill for the curious and also talking about the yet untitled sequel to The Requiem of Janus. I'll also be offering opportunity for prompting ficlets for original works.

Hope to see you there!

Today I thought I'd bring a little sneak peek at the sequel to my published work The Requiem of Janus. I don't know when I'll get to writing it. Maybe 2013 judging by the free time in my schedule but we'll see. Anyway, here's the first five pages of the manuscript in their unedited glory!

As of yet, the story is untitled but I'll get to that. Also, for those interested, keep in mind that The Requiem of Janus and it's sequel are all prequels to the War of the Animum verse. Also, there are spoilers for The Requiem of Janus itself.

As promised, here's the oneshot set in The Requiem of Janus universe. It can be considered canon, and there's just enough detail to leave you guessing, but not enough to spoil the ending, and requires no knowledge of the novel to enjoy. It's also NSFW so those at work, keep an eye over your shoulder. *grins*

Title: Love the Way You Lie
Universe: The Requiem of Janus, canon, before Chapter 20
Words: 4684
Rating: M
Description: Alcaeus would never love him, would probably never like Janus. But he did desire the priest, and that was enough for now.

In an ongoing effort to keep things interesting, I thought I might spotlight some of my original characters. Tell ya some things about them that you didn't know before, and remind you of the things revealed in canon. Also, give my readers an opportunity to ask any questions they might have, especially about things I didn't explain.

Today, I decided to feature Janus, who is the main character in my published fic The Requiem of Janus.

... and prompt fics!

Yep. Today I'm announcing the winner of yesteday's free copy of whichever novel they prefer, and I'm going to go ahead and post the prompt fics I wrote for my hosting of the TQ social yesterday. These prompts were given to me by the visitors to the TQ social and feature my original works prominently.

First, though, I'd like to say congratulations to [livejournal.com profile] gypsygrrl420 whose name I drew out of the hat to make her the winner of yesterday's random drawing. Send me a PM and let me know which novel you'd like.

For [livejournal.com profile] sydmcginley
Prompt: laundry day gone wrong, your choice of pairing

Joshua just wasn't cut out to be Suzy homemaker.  )

For [livejournal.com profile] sydmcginley
Prompt "rice pudding accident"

"That was not an accident."  )

For [livejournal.com profile] stevie_carroll
Prompt "hair-related story"

He wanted to distract Janus from whatever dry historical tome he was reading... )

For [livejournal.com profile] ali_wilde
Prompt: Leonard and Willoughby, "Wow, would you look at that penguin?"

"Hey, it's snowing."  )

Phew. Those were all pretty challenging, but I had a great time writing them.

I hope you all enjoyed those little snippets. Thanks for reading!

I'm still working on the flash fiction, don't worry. You'll see some of them tomorrow and then the rest on Monday.

I got to pondering today, as I struggled to stay awake after a long day of work, and I started thinking about my original fiction.

Because so many of them fit neatly into the same worlds, especially those that you might not expect.

So I thought I'd share these connections with everyone. I thought someone might be curious.

So I should be getting my laptop back within the week.

That means we should return to our regularly scheduled updates and I can get back to work. I'm so happy!

So today, I thought I'd share some sketches. I'm no great artist by any means, but I did go through a phase where I managed to sketch out a few things. And I thought you might enjoy seeing them. Click to see the larger image.

Oh, happy days!

I've finally received a review for The Requiem of Janus. I was starting to get a little worried there. Like, biting my nails worried. Though I was wondering if perhaps the sheer length was what was throwing people off. I'll be the first to admit The Requiem of Janus is a tad long for it's genre. *winces*

Anyway, on to the review!

I was very pleased to read it simply because I found myself going "finally! A reader who gets it!" And it made me jittery with happiness because I was so glad that someone had seen all of the subtleties I'd worked very hard to slide into my manuscript.

The reviewer's name is Elisa Rolle and this is the link to her livejournal where she reviews many, many other stories. Also, she gave The Requiem of Janus FIVE stars on Amazon! Incredible!

Great News!

So in real life, my job is hell. It sucks. I deal with people all day. People are not nice. They are not friendly. They put me in a very bad mood.

BUT! When I came home today, do you know what was waiting in my mailbox.

A check. But not just any check. My first check from Torquere Press for the publication of my novel!! I was ecstatic. I squee'ed like a fangirl. And ripped it open. Ladies and gentleman, I am proud to announce that I managed to sell a number of copies that I am quite happy with -- 54 in 21 days. That's supremely awesome. It may not seem like much, but to me who only expected maybe 20 but hoped for a lot more, I couldn't be happier. I'm freakin' ecstatic.

*does a little dance*

In other, The Requiem of Janus news, I'll be hosting the Torquere Livejournal again on Sunday, August 15th. So I'd be ever so pleased if my buddies could stop by for a tic and say hello. I'll be giving a couple chances to win a free copy of my book!
